The same goes for our testimonials and we are ecstatic! It is truly the motivation we need to press on during the wee hours.
c) We have launched our new Amazon.com store
d) We have launched a Glass Bottle Campaign in our regional hospitals’ Parenting Classes to help parents-to-be make better choices in baby products and to expose some hidden dangers and provide simple safety solutions. But since I’m not, I will instead calmly inform everyone of an important new development in Cocoozy history – Cocoozy products will appear in American Baby magazine in June 2009! Yes, that’s right we took the plunge and went for a really great magazine too! American Baby gets incredible distribution; the June issue will be sent out to 550,000 subscribers nationwide!!!

I am really excited because I love and read this magazine routinely. I have found some of the most useful information and advice on the subjects of pregnancy and everything to do with baby. Cocoozy Baby Bottle Covers will be appropriately showcased on the Best Baby Summer Picks page. With all my heart I believe Cocoozies are one of the best baby accessories, especially in the summer when activity picks up. As the weather improves, little tots will be heading outside to play with their bottles by their side. These days hundreds of thousands if not millions of young kids can benefit from coozies being in their daily lives.

So you got that glass bottle for you child to keep you little one safe from leaching chemicals. Now you have a new problem – arming your toddler with a glass object with potential to become a projectile at any moment. Speaking from experience, it is pretty much inevitable that the glass bottle will break. I was fortunate enough to be near my son when it happened every time, so I avoided having to deal with any injuries in addition to cleaning up the mess. After several close calls, I nearly gave up on glass bottles altogether, but one last time I reluctantly dished out another $30 for a 3-pack of Born Free glass bottles while I searched for an alternative.

That is when the trusty coozy inspired me once again! One day it occurred to me to try and slip my can coozy onto that glass bottle. It fit (not well), but it worked. Plus there was something very wrong about a two-year-old walking around with Miller Light proudly displayed on his bottle of milk. That day I resolved to design and make the perfect baby bottle cover. I have not handed my child a ‘naked’ bottle since and I have never had to buy another bottle! That same day I ordered my initial supplies and got to work on the baby bottle coozy. To date my little project has evolved from an awkward early prototype into the beautifully designed and constructed Cocoozy Baby Bottle Cover. ( Check it out at cocoozy.com! ) I really feel that this item is one you will find infinitely useful, just as I do. There is nothing like it available right now, but very simply it would provide a peace of mind for so many families using glass baby bottles.

Not Just ‘Anything’ for Our Kids

There are millions of parents like you and I who want to provide the absolute best things they can for their children. We’ll stretch that budget just so we can afford that organic milk, those designer booties, swimming lessons, hard cover books, and the latest and greatest accessories. Parents like us want to know everything about everything in kid world, so that our own kids lack nothing. In particular, when there is something wrong with a product we get for our child, we want to know about it immediately so that we do not spend another minute putting our precious ones in danger. If you need examples of what a powerful drive conscientious parents have in this economy to be able to boycott certain products on a massive scale and to influence the supply to meet their high-standard demands, just check out recent news articles on discoveries of harmful chemical substances like melamine, lead and BPA in children’s products. Whether it’s Chinese melamine found in baby formula, lead found in the paint in kids toys or Bisphenol-A (BPA) found in plastic baby bottles, parents like us at the very least act quickly to stop using those products and turn to products that they know are safe.

Nothing scares me as much as harm to my children. I definitely have become a lot more thoughtful and careful when it comes to what I buy for my boys. In particular, I have become very concerned with the plastic baby bottles. My two very young children get a lot of their nutrition from milk still, which makes their bottles the most often used food containers. After reading the recent BPA studies, I am all done with serving milk in plastic bottles. The studies say that leaching of this chemical accelerates when the container is warmed and/or contains substances high in fat. I serve my kids whole or breast milk (obviously high in fat) usually warm, which puts us in the high-risk zone of this stuff getting into my kids milk. In recent months I have noticed all the new plastic bottle packaging boasting BPA-free labels, but who really knows about some other additive just waiting to be discovered. To be really safe, I’m using glass.

Coozy Inspiration

Here's the thing - ask any of my friends what my favorite item of all time is and they'll tell you it's a coozy! Yes, that's right, a coozy (or koozy or cozy) - those colorful foam sleeves with sports teams' logos you see displayed at your local package store. LOVE them! There’s just something so ceremonial and pleasant about the whole process of dressing your beverage before you savor it. To me it feels something like serving brunch in your fine china, or offering a gorgeous thin-stem wine glass to your friends, or putting on that special-occasion pair of shoes. It is just an extra little detail that makes me feel good.

I do enjoy my coozies! So much so, that I gave them away as favors at my wedding. Well not with sports teams logos, of course, but specially printed with a witty slogan, our names, date and such. I mean who wouldn't smile if they saw "To have and to hold and keep your beer cold" written on a coozy :). Ok so now you probably think I'm crazy, but hear me out. I actually arrived at the decision of having coozies as my favors after putting considerable thought rationalization into it. You see, we were paying for our wedding ourselves. As the self-proclaimed wedding budget comptroller I needed to efficiently distribute our limited funds without looking like we are cutting corners. I definitely wanted to minimize the cost of favors, because I knew it was just going to be money thrown away - I mean how many favors have you really kept or even used?! Those trinkets and candies were cute and all, but for a practical gal like me they just didn’t hold much appeal. I did see some things I liked but I would have had to dish out $10-$15 a guest and I chose to let them drink it at the open bar instead. So in the midst of this rather depressing search for wedding favors, I stumbled onto a company that printed coozies with anything you want. Wow, I thought, this is the perfect wedding favor! Not only was it priced under $1, I knew all my friends (some more than others) would find the utility in it on an almost daily basis! It keeps your bottle insulated, acts like a coaster and reminds everyone of the good times we've had. Plus that slogan is awesome! :) So I immediately placed my order and that became my first experience with spreading my love for coozies around by handing them out at my wedding.

Since then, coozies and I have enjoyed a long and loving relationship and most recently we have truly become one. I have been inspired by them once again and this time it feels even better!
